Caveat Emptor...

I just received this book today and quickly realized that Ancient Egyptian Science, Volume I, is actually TWO books - "Tome One" and "Tome Two". I received Tome One, and unfortunately the specific references I was looking for are in Tome Two. And more unfortunate still, Amazon does not differentiate between the two halves of this volume. Potential buyers will simply have to ask individual sellers WHICH HALF of this volume they carry...or, turn elsewhere in their search.
This does not reflect upon the material itself. If you are a serious student of Egyptology, there is still useful information to be had in this volume, which deals primarily with the Egyptians' own written historical annals and religious literature (the various cosmologies in particular). Unfortunately again, though, all of the appendices, indexes and figures were placed at the end of this volume, which would be in...you guessed it, Tome Two. This is why I give the book Three Stars; it's a good reference, but it would be a GREAT reference if everything were actually included in a SINGLE volume, or at least if they could be specifically marked as "Part One" or "Part Two" by Amazon. So, caveat emptor (buyer beware)!
